Since its beginning in 1988, the Wisconsin Lottery has managed the Lottery fund. Over the years, the Wisconsin Lottery has generated more than $7.326 billion in total revenue. At least 95% of that revenue has gone back to the people of Wisconsin. That money stays in Wisconsin's economy for the good of everyone.
Around $4.104 billion or 56.02% of revenues were dedicated to prize winnings. About $406.0 million or 5.54% of revenues were given to Wisconsin businesses as retailer commission. Moreover, $2.326 billion or 31.75% of revenues were returned to eligible Wisconsin taxpayers as Property Tax Relief.
