South Carolina (SC) Lottery
The South Carolina Lottery opened for business in January 2002. The South Carolina Lottery can be considered a success from the outset, and today the lottery is setting records and receiving recognition from the lottery industry and business groups.
For the 2005-2006 fiscal year, South Carolina Lottery sales exceeded one billion dollars for the first time in our history, totalling nearly $1.145 billion. From this the lottery transferred more than $322 million for educational programs, bringing total contributions to the Education Lottery Account, since our first sale in January 2002, to more than $1.19 billion.

Dwayne Conyers, of Sumter won $50,000 on Carolina Millionaires Club. He purchased his ticket from Alcolu Exxon in Alcolu
